DRAFT: pending legal review
Privacy notice
This explains what Launch Pointe Athletics collects about your family, who can see it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. Last updated October 2026.
Who we are
Launch Pointe Athletics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 42-4548545) in Space Coast, FL · Brevard County. We run youth sports teams, starting with the Space Coast Bombers. Questions about anything on this page go to launchpointeathletics@gmail.com.
What we collect, and where it comes from
Everything in the team portal is typed in by a parent or guardian, or by a coach about themselves. We do not buy information about your family, and we do not collect it from anywhere else.
- About you: your name, email address, and phone number.
- About your household: a household name and, if you give it, a home address.
- About your athlete: first and last name, jersey number, grade, whether they bat and throw right or left, and uniform sizes.
- A game-day medical card: allergies, anything a coach should watch for, two or three emergency contacts, your insurance carrier and a short note about it, and your physician's name and phone number.
We do not store a date of birth and we do not keep birth certificates. When a league needs proof of age, the team manager looks at your document in person and ticks a box saying they saw it. The document stays with you.
We also ask you not to put a full insurance member ID in the portal. A note like "card on file with parent" is what a coach actually needs at a field.
Who can see it
- You see your own household: your guardians, your athletes, and their medical cards.
- Other families see none of it. Households cannot see each other.
- Coaches and the team manager see the roster: player names, jersey numbers, grade, bats and throws, and uniform sizes. They do not see your home address.
- The team manager can see household addresses, because someone has to for league paperwork.
- Board members who are org admins can see the record of who looked at what.
Medical cards are logged every time
A coach or manager cannot read a medical card without us recording it. Every view writes a line saying who looked, at which athlete, and when. Those lines are kept for a year and can be read by our org admins. If you ever want to know who has looked at your athlete's card, ask us and we will tell you.
Who else we share it with
Nobody, beyond the companies that run the site for us. We use Vercel for hosting and Supabase for the database and the sign-in emails. They store the information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for anything else. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking on this site.
How long we keep it
- Medical cards: deleted 30 days after an athlete leaves the team. This happens automatically.
- Athlete and household records: kept while the athlete plays for us, and for as long as we need them for league and nonprofit records afterwards.
- The log of who viewed a medical card: one year.
- Your account: until you ask us to close it.
Seeing, exporting, or deleting your information
Email launchpointeathletics@gmail.com and ask. We will send you a copy of everything we hold about your family, or delete it, within 30 days. You can also edit most of it yourself in the portal at any time. Deleting your account means your athlete comes off the roster, so tell us if you mean to leave the team or only to clear something out.
Children
Athletes do not get accounts. Only adults sign in, and only a parent or guardian enters information about a child. If you believe a child has created an account here, tell us and we will remove it.
Keeping it safe
Sign-in is by emailed link, so there is no password to steal. Staff accounts with the widest access also need a code from an authenticator app. The database refuses to hand one family's records to another family, rather than relying on the website to ask the right question.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will ask you to read and accept it again the next time you sign in. The version you accepted is recorded with your account.
